Gigs for Good Benefit Concert

“Supporting the projects of The Religion and Society Center and Honoring Guest of Honor: Michael Sand”

HARRISBURG, PA—January 26, 2013— Following the success of our first show in November, the Religion and Society Center in collaboration with Washington’s Entertainment Connection, invites you to our second concert event, this one featuring the renowned New Klezmer Quintet.

“The Internationally Renowned Klezmer Band…The band that has played for many dignitaries, celebrities and heads of state, including the President of the United States!”

This concert will be supporting an important organization while honoring a very special individual, Mr. Michael Sand.

The band has agreed to come to Harrisburg to perform this special tribute concert! This Exclusive event will be limited to 400 seats. The event will take place at the Messiah Lutheran Church, located at 901 North 6th Street, at the corner of 6th and Forster Streets in Harrisburg, PA.

The evening will include music from the renowned New Klezmer Quintet, and will feature well-known Klezmer drummer Brian Choper, the extraordinary walking Klezmer clarinet Fred Jacobowitz, and one of the great pioneers of Bluegrass, Alan Oresky on violin.
